For celebrating or discussing your every walk, there is a fitting place: YOD Abyssinia

From May 2-7 2011, Addis Ababa had a great time hosting the International Conference of African Writers’ organized by Ethiopian Writers’ Association, Addis Ababa University and Pan-African Writers’ Association graced by different writers from the continent, organized in commemoration of 50th anniversary of the Ethiopian Writers’ Association.

After the major conference, public lectures at different universities across the country and tour, the participants chose the right place for the closing event to celebrate and relax their mind off inside an Ethiopian lavish traditional Restaurant,
YOD Abyssinia Cultural Restaurant. Saturday evening, the 8th of May 2011, YOD Abyssinia’s Cultural Restaurant was filled with joy and laughter, crowded with guests from across Africa in their elegant African outfits.

YOD Abyssinia, grateful to be part of this continental event, made sure these guests were entertained and doled out by providing authentic national cuisines prepared by native chefs and the different hand licking meals, along with the unique Ethiopian coffee ceremony and wide variety of regional and international drinks the guests end up admiring.

The hilarity gets even better when YOD Abyssinia’s talented cultural musicians and folk dancers flavored the night with fantastic Ethiopian diverse dances to the satisfaction and excitement of the attendees. And they all dispensed, exchanged and shared views, cultures and different life experiences promising to finish the long journey from independence of the continent to libration of the people mind.
For the commemoration of 50th anniversary of the Ethiopian Writers’ Association, and successful completion of this continental event, YOD Abyssinia presented a cake which the chairman of the Ethiopian Writers’ Association, with his Pan-African Writers’ Association counterpart sliced and toast their good fortune with their glasses up. At their leave the attendance were thanking and admiring the entire service, and the time they had. It was a great honor for YOD Abyssinia Cultural Restaurant to host such a remarkable event.
