“A different experience”

This is really a different experience and I am of the opinion that it is some place that you have to go and visit while in Addis as a non-resident. But do this also with a guide or someone that knows the culture to help you to appreciate what is on offer - food as well as the music and dancing. It is difficult to review this restaurant as it is just different - let's rather call it an experience. One big hall with people sitting in their little (or not so little) groups with a bit of an overload on the senses; the music and dancing on stage are entertaining but I do agree that the quality of the sound is poor. A bit of attention to this and the whole experience will drastically improve. The variety of the food is OK and they cater for the adventurous and the less daring people. All over an interesting experience that one has to go and see as a tourist but a place I will not be seen on a regular basis. "Was there, got the T-shirt" and now we are looking for other new experiences.

“Music, Food, Atmosphere...”

Went on a weekday, was nice to see it was open late. Traditional music, and dance from different regions were on display, and great traditional Ethiopian food. The place was busy, almost full, yet there were enough staff on attendance to provide quick and friendly service. The tables and chairs are local as well, which is not the most comfortable, but it comes with the ambiance. Dancers came in to the crowd and took time dancing with people. Will go back in order to try the traditional drink with honey.

“Popular, Fun, Reasonable”

I love Ethiopian food, and the food here is good, especially the vegetarian or "fasting" meal. We found the prices very reasonable. The entertainment -- music, dancing, singing -- is OK and not so loud that you can't talk. My only complaint would be that the seats aren't very comfortable and the experience can be a bit cramped if the place is crowded. Service was fast and very pleasant. Seemed like a fun place for a big group, though we were only two.

“A must if you are in Addis”

It seems like a tourist trap but there are lots of locals here too. The food is very good but the best part is the music and the dance. We had a great evening, a must go if you are in Addis Ababa
