Over 600 Microfinance Influential of the 5th African Microfinance Conference Gathering at YOD Abyssinia Cultural Restaurant

When Ethiopia, particularly Addis, has international events where guests from across the globe participate, YOD Abyssinia is always there, for a vibrant cultural farewell event, playing its ambassadorship role of glimmering Ethiopia’s cultural beauty th

rough diverse cultural cuisines, songs and dances. And this time around, YOD Abyssinia hosted participants of the 5th African Microfinance Conference held from September 19 – 22 in Addis.


YOD Abyssinia with long history of hosting different pleasurable moments, served Africa’s largest and most influential gathering of over 600 microfinance industry leaders, academics, policy makers, and representatives of development agencies from more than 60 countries at its elegant restaurant.

Soon after arrival, the guests shared flavors of the unique national buffets of over 23 varieties of cultural food, experiencing Ethiopian local food most of them had never tasted before. While they were dining, the daily entertainment continued to exhibit Ethiopian nations and nationalities folk dances, in YOD Abyssinia’s convenient atmosphere enabling the guests to connect and share ideas filled with pleasurable thoughts.



And as the coffee lady pour coffee to their cups in the most Ethiopian traditional ceremony, Camille Frazzetti, Micheal Brand, Dominique Lesaffre, and Lars Perhson, jointly didn’t hide commenting “ . . . unique, outstanding, delicious, splendid exhibition of great culture not to be missed; the perfect way to spend a night out in Addis Ababa making us feel like singing and dancing”. Michael J.S. Lee from Smile Microcredit Bank in Korea also said, “. . . fantastic! Dynamic! Dancers are handsome and beautiful! I want to be Ethiopian!”. “The entire atmosphere is amazing. The food was delicious and the dancing is very exciting thanks for a great evening in Addis”, commented Mac Parish, from Nairobi Kenya.


One of the event organizers, Doctor Wolday Ameha gratefully said, “. . . I’m very happy that I organized this program in this place, it’s already late but my guests don’t want to leave the house yet, you made me proud of our country culture, thank you so much”.




The traditional elegant surrounding kept the guests enjoy each moment they had, and spent as much time dancing at the stage with the performers and finally left wishing they could stay longer.
