The 6th European & Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP) Forum Participants in YOD Abyssinia Cultural Restaurant

On the 10th of October 2011, over 200 participants the 6th European & Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP) Forum gathered from various corners of the globe spent one of their evenings in Addis Ababa, at YOD Abyssinia Cultural Restaurant. The team comprised of scientists, professors, product developers, representatives from research funding organizations, policy makers and other partners.

 

The energy, bustle, and allure of these celebrated cultural restaurant was what the guests noticed first “. . . an iconic place! I feel that I have immersed in some fresh, and vibrant environment; right in the middle of energizing mood where anyone wants to be” commented Professor Eric, one of the guests.

 

The finest incredible cultural buffet had delicious cuisines to suit the 550 participant’s palate. ‘. . . one of the most inventive and tasty cuisines; the hospitality is super; the audience is different from where I’ve been in the past; perfectly taking care of 550 participants; thanks a lot’, said Mr. Subrjh.

 

YOD Abyssinia Cultural Music Band performed an entertaining folk songs and dances originating from all around Ethiopia. The stage also hosted a guest drummer project officer Jean Marie who played the drum in perfection. The nightly entertainment got even more doled out as the singer played Sudanese song joined by the natives. ‘. . . It’s just wonderful, best experience ever!’ said Jean Marie as he comes off the stage.

 

‘. . . awesome! The food, the music, the atmosphere! It was the highlight of my whole six days in here’ was all Monique Surette from Netherland had to say.

 

This great forum had the perfect place to share blissful time that they wouldn’t want to leave if they didn’t have a conference the following morning.
