The Republic of Sudan’s Independence Day Celebration at YOD Abyssinia Cultural Restaurant

Commemorating their victory from the colonization of Great Britain in 1956, the Sudanese Embassy to Ethiopia and Sudanese nationals in Ethiopia celebrated their independence day at YOD Abyssinia Cultural Restaurant on January 25th of 2012.

In this astonishing ceremony prepared by the Sudan Airways in collaboration with the Embassy of Sudan, Sudanese Ambassador to Ethiopia, member of the diplomatic missions, prominent figures and businessmen were in attendance.

The unique Sudanese traditional artifacts were in display presenting a national atmosphere to the hall, along with performances of different traditional and modern Sudanese songs by various artists. Taking full control of the stage the entire time, artist Fatima spoke “. . . we are so happy to celebrate our independence day t YOD Abyssinia Cultural Restaurant. The hall and the service is amazing and it is an amazing experience to witness the brotherhood of Ethiopians and Sudanese in this unique restaurant tonight.

Guests nearing 600 pleasured in experience of Ethiopian foods and drinks, moreover the display of the unique natural and historical tourist attractions of Ethiopia side by side with the Sudanese handmade artifacts exhibited in the cultural hall added flavor to the event. “. . . we all enjoyed the Ethiopian culture and nice hospitality at YOD Abyssinia, God bless the Ethiopian Sudanese relation!’ commented Mohamed Dasoughi.

Giving a more satisfying restaurant experience on every level, YOD Abyssinia attendants served the guests to full satisfaction, which left them with vibrant and unforgettable experience. ‘. . . on behalf of my colleagues of the Ministry of Education of the State of Sudan and on behalf of my fellows from Teachers’ Union, I express my genuine wish and thank to those who have given us this nice chance to attend this nice party in this nice place’, said Mohamed Ibrahim.
