African Federation of Public Health Association participants stayed entertained at the elegant hall of YOD Abyssinia

While the long awaited 13th World Congress on Public Health under the theme of “Towards Global Health Equity: Opportunities and Threats” continued in the capital city of Addis Ababa YOD Abyssinia Cultural Restaurant hosted the participants with an authentic cultural experience on Thursday, the 28th, evening in its elegant traditional hall.

The presence of high officials, dignitaries, heads of various partner organizations and public health professionals coming from 168 countries gave the Cultural Ambassador’s surrounding a high security incidence, with the big hall solely booked for the event for the usual merrymaking and cheerfulness.

Opening the event, Dr. Tewabech Bishaw, president of the Ethiopian Public Health Association and James Chauvin, President of World Federation of Public Health Association gave welcoming speeches and wished the participants to have blissful time through out the evening.

A colorful array of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, local and imported vintage drink options accessible on the top of low wooden tables present an intimate ambience along the traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony set up in one side of the elegant hall, during which coffee beans are roasted, prepared and served on ground tableside providing a relaxing end.

The cultural band of YOD Abyssinia presented folk dances of different nation and nationalities of Ethiopia with a great enthusiasm that made the participants discover the unaffected mores with themselves participating on the traditional stage.

“I have come here numerous times and I have always enjoyed your hospitality and wonderful services. Keep it up.” said Dr Mengistu Asnake, Vice President of WFPHA. James Chauvin elected president of WFPHA on his part stressed, on how gladly he wanted to come back as better dinning and entertainment preference and pointed what a wonderful place YOD Abyssinia was.

And again as in previous times, YOD Abyssinia played its important role in introducing Ethiopia’s culture at a vibrant entertaining evening and catering services for the 13th World Congress which was conducted for the 2nd time in Africa.
